BSCR Social Inclusion Coordinator

Salary: Equivalent to NJC scale SO1  £25,793.38

This post will initially be for seven months, and will depend on further funding after that.

Hours: 37 ½ hrs per week

Monday – Friday 9am-5pm

Some evening & weekend work may be required

• Developing & implementing local programmes or activities that will support those groups identified under Section 75 legislation

• Supporting area work in relation to Ex-Combatants & their families

• Coordinating area work around ‘Good relations’ & ‘Community Cohesion’

• Implementation of the area ‘Celebration & Events’ programme

• Coordinating & implementing programmes or activities in relation to social exclusion & work with marginalised groups as outlined with BSCR Neighbourhood Renewal contract

Experience

Essential Minimum 3 years’ experience working with marginalised groups or within disadvantaged community

Demonstrable experience of working with voluntary and statutory organisations

Demonstrable experience of community development work in disadvantaged communities

Demonstrable experience of securing funding for a project

Essential Third level Qualification or equivalent with 1 year post-grad experience in relevant field or 5 years demonstrable experience in community/voluntary sector
